Pre-Season: Pre-Game: Pre-Caring: Post-Ambivalence: Calgary vs Vancouver

Will this be a real game? Or another AHL scrimmage?

I want to see a real line up soon. I want to see chemistry forming. I don't want to start another season unprepared like the last seasons in recent memory. Maybe it's time to stop playing players like Chucko and let the real pros lace up for a game.

What better time to do that than against Vancouver?

  1. my dream lineup for tonight:

    tanguay-lombardi-iginla
    moss-langkow-huselius
    nilson-yelle-nolan
    primeau-conroy-mäki

    aucoin-phaneuf
    sarich-regehr
    giordano-ference

and only the last two cause i'm not a big fan of any/all of eriksson, hale, warrener and ramholt.

the fourth line is my dream grinder-but-can-score-with-speed line. yep.
    ;)

  2. We don't have any Ferences left though. We know what happened to A-fence, and Brad signed with Detroit over the off-season...

  6. I was at the Jays game last night with a bunch of friends, and one of the girls there is a friend of Gio. She was telling me that he was a little stunned not to get a one way contract offer and had looked forward to playing for the Flames this season. He's hoping to get back with the team after a year away...

I passed on the collective disappointment of the Flames blogosphere...

  7. C'mon WI - that dream forth line of yours can't score...Maki can't score in the AHL let alone the bigs and Primeau's NHL career best is 11 goals. Also, the very presence of Primeau ensures that it wouldn't be fast either.

I'd rather have Boyd and Donovan with Conroy, I think...
