Popping The Cherry

It's always awkward your first time, so I'll make this quick. I'm a 23 year-old hockey fanatic living in Toronto, but my heart is still in Calgary. I'm a huge fan of the Calgary Flames, and not so much a fan of the Edmonton Oilers (The Great One used up their excellence long ago).

I'm a hockey whore, I've got many of them I browse at work in my RSS feed reader. I chat throughout the day with people about hockey (many of them Leafs fans, which is woefully inadequate for me as many of them couldn't tell me who Jim Playfair was). So why not open up the scope of my ramblings, rants, and theories with more of the world and set myself up for widespread ridicule on the global scene?

This isn't my first blog to write, but it's definitely my first hockey blog. I'm not sure what direction it's going to head in yet, or how often it'll be updated, but rest assured that it will head in a direction even if that direction constantly changes and leaves us back at the start. Most likely this will be a stream-of-consciousness style blog with some tongue-in-cheek moments. Maybe some humour.

I'm also a computer guy, so my sense of aesthetics is awful. If the color scheme of this site is painful, leave me a comment and throw me suggestions or tell me off. I'm receptive to bitching, suggestions, and compliments.
